Yes. All pies must be paid for during the time they are ordered to confirm your order.
Due to the volume of orders we receive, we will only be doing pick up this year. There will not be delivery! Pick up for thanksgiving pies is Wed Nov 24 from 9-6 pm only. If you do not pick up your pie, it will be donated to the local homeless shelter.
Sweet J’s products may contain or come in contact with dairy, wheat, soy, tree nuts, nuts, gluten and other allergens. People with food allergies or sensitivities are strongly advised against placing an order. We are not liable for any food allergies/sensitive related issues.
We serve our pies at room
temperature, so you are welcome to keep them on a cool counter, out of direct heat. If you won't be serving your pies for a day or two, you can also keep them in the refrigerator (in the box is fine).
Our pies are best stored in the refrigerator and eaten within 2 days of purchase. However, they can be refrigerated for up to 5 days.
While we do recommend eating our pies fresh and within a few days of purchasing, many of our pies are suitable for freezing.
For proper freezing, tightly wrap the pie in plastic wrap twice. When you're ready to thaw, unwrap the pie and allow it to thaw in the refrigerator for 8 hours. See below for heating instructions.
As a general rule, pies with meringue topping, chess pies, and custard pies are not recommended for serving warm (they will melt in the oven and won't hold their shape).
To warm a fruit pie from the fridge, heat the oven to 350º F cover with foil and warm for 20 minutes, checking the pie by placing your hand over the center to see if it is fully warmed (more time may be required).
To warm your sweet pie straight from the freezer, heat the oven to 350º F and warm for 30 minutes, checking the pie by placing your hand over the center to see if it is fully warmed (more time may be required).
To warm your savory pie from frozen heat oven to 350F and bake for 90-120 minutes until the filling reaches a temp of 165 F.
